PB Days - Gem & Mineral Show
The Mendocino Coast Gem & Mineral Society hosts its annual show during Paul Bunyan Days, right in the center of town where it?s easy to find. The club focuses on collecting rocks, gems, and minerals as well as cutting stones. They sponsor the event to promote the study of earth sciences and the practice of lapidary arts and crafts.
Library Book Sale
The Friends? of the Fort Bragg Library?s biggest fundraiser is their Labor Day Book Sale. Hundreds of people purchase thousands of books to sustain library activities for the coming year. The Friends of the Library group uses the proceeds to purchase books including children?s and large type, DVDs, audio books, carpet cleaning, and a host of other services that supplement the County Library District?s budget.

Pups of all shapes, sizes, talents and appearances compete to be top dog in their own special way. Dogs vie for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place ribbons for Smallest, Largest, Prettiest (big and small), Best Dressed, Smartest, Best Frisbee, Owner-Look-Alike, and finally, selected from 1st place winners ? Best In Show.
