Summer & Winter Rug Weaving

Weave a sample, using a provided design. Weaving a card-woven selvedge is optional, as is the option for weaving the beginning and end to result in a hemmed sample. If you prefer a fringed finish, it is a simpler option. A pre-measured and chained 8/5 linen warp will be furnished. Also, unless you have a preferred wool weft, wool will be supplied.If you do plan to use your own weft, please let her know ahead of time. If there is an available loom, she will set up a warp for a shaft switching demonstration and anyone who is interested can try it. In fact, if a student wants to do shaft switching on their own sample, that is an option. Please be advised that it is a slower procedure.Summer & Winter Rug WeavingDate and Time

Fees/Admission
$50 Non-refundable deposit. Members $400, Non-members $420. Materials Fee: $45.00 for warp and weft, $25.00 for warp only. A warp will be provided for each student.
