    Celebrate the art of cinema, craft beer,  and locally sourced cuisine with the Mendocino Film Festival and the North Coast Brewing Company on Thursday, October 25, at 6:30 pm for a special benefit dinner and a movie. The dinner and screening will take place at The Sequoia Room, home to North Coast Brewing Company’s jazz performance series.

    The $75 ticket includes a three-course prix fixe meal, paired with North Coast Brewing Company beers, and a screening of Holly Near: Singing for Our Lives, directed by Jim Brown. The screening will be hosted by the film's producer, Donna Korones.

    Holly Near: Singing for Our Lives - Singer, songwriter, and activist Holly Near has been performing for over 40 years and in the process created what Gloria Steinem called, “the first soundtrack of the women’s movement.” Featuring Jane Fonda, Harry Belafonte and others, this intimate portrait is a testament to a sensational artist and an important time in history.

    Mendocino County Officially Placed on State COVID-19 Watch List

    Health Officer Dr. Noemi Doohan issued a new Shelter-In-Place (SIP) Order, Thursday, August 13, 2020, which went into effect at 3:00 pm on Friday August 14, 2020. The new Order maintains current restrictions, but adds additional limitations regarding gatherings and Children’s Extracurricular Activity Stable Bubbles. In addition, Dr. Doohan issued an Order regarding COVID-19 Protocols for Schools to support Mendocino County schools’ planning efforts regarding in-person instruction. Mendocino County’s revised SIP goes in effect Friday, August 14 at 3:00 p.m. and will be in place until 3:00 p.m. on September 11, 2020. A revised order will be released upon the expiration of this Order.

    A message for business that use Square

    Today Square Online Store released the option for curbside pickup, and later this week a local delivery feature will be available for all businesses so that you can quickly adapt to this changing environment. They are also waiving curbside pickup and delivery fees for the next three months. Square Online Store already offers online orders for in-store pickup with no monthly fee. They are refunding all software subscription fees for the month of March.
