Lisa Culjis and Bonnie Hull at Partners Gallery

Partners Gallery is excited to show the work of two visiting artists, Bonnie Hull from Salem, Oregon, and Lisa Culjis from Sacramento. Culjis makes hand-cut collages and assemblages using her evolving collection of old photographs, vintage ephemera, discarded books, and small found objects to create a poetic narrative of layered imagery revealing the inner life of her subjects. 
 
Through her drawings and paintings, Hull creates a rich interwoven narrative about life, art, and the significance of looking closely at what surrounds us. Everyday objects and human connections are fodder for Hull's art practice rooted in themes of domesticity, memory, and the mythology of the personal.
