Lighthouse Lecture Series - Mark Hancock
The Lighthouse Lecture Series presents Point Arena Lighthouse Executive Director Mark Hancock presenting "153 Years of Lighting the Way" on Saturday, August 19 at 5 PM in the Fog Signal Building Museum. This lecture will showcase the fascinating history and technology of the 153 year old Light Station, the three Lighthouse Towers that have been on the Station since it was established in 1869, the Light Keepers and their families, the light sources used to guide ships at sea, the geology of the Light Station peninsula and more. The lecture is scheduled to last about an hour, with Q&A at the end.
