We are proud to present the third production in this 50th Anniversary Season. Based on the real life story of Florence Foster Jenkins, “Glorious! The True Story of Florence Foster Jenkins, The Worst Singer in the World” is a hilarious and heartfelt romp about Lady Florence, who fancied herself a great operatic diva, but was more commonly known as the ‘first lady of the sliding scale.’ In other words, she sang horribly! The play is set in New York in late summer/early fall of 1944, while World War II raged across two oceans. In this inspirational and wildly profound true story, Lady Florence lives her life exactly as she wants it to be – as a significantly untalented public opera singer! Her magnetic personality and determinedly positive outlook on her own lack of talent will sweep you up into her final appearance at Carnegie Hall.
