Evening Concert with Mendocino Women's Choir

Swing into Spring with the Mendocino Women’s Choir, celebrating their 23^rd year of sassy, soulful, contemporary, joyful song and dance.

 

The choir, conceived in 1992, has remained a vibrant, eclectic women’s community choir, performing at celebrations county-wide and at venues at New York’s Carnegie Hall, at  Judy Chicago’s Dinner Party exhibit at the Armand Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, and at pre-Olympic celebrations in and around London in 2012.

 

Join them at Matheson Performing Arts Center in Mendocino for a journey through a wide spectrum of music that touches both heart and funny bone.

 

Words and music by Steve Martin, Pharrell Williams, Emily Dickinson, Lorde, Mama Cass, along with Bollywood, African chant, Rock’n’ Roll, ukuleles, and jazz will delight and keep the toes tapping.

Musical director Cynthia Frank, accompanist Marie-Claire Dizin, percussionist Claudia Paige and refreshments by Robert Goleman’s Bolliver’s fill out an extraordinary experience.

 

Performances are Thursday April 23 and Friday April 24^th at 8 pm and Saturday April 25^th at 2 pm and 8 pm.

 

Advance tickets at Harvest Market in Fort Bragg and Silver & Stone on Main Street in Mendocino.

 

Shows are usually sold out early.

 

General admission (12 and up): $15.00

Seniors (65+) $10.00
