Celebrating Mary Magdalene
Celebrate the life story of Mary Magdalene on Friday evening, July 22 at 5:30 in the historic Mendocino Presbyterian sanctuary on Main Street in Mendocino. Mary of Magdala was a woman of expanded consciousness and spiritual authority. We will touch-on her story and her teachings. Local artist, Sue Ellen Parkinson, will give a presentation of her paintings that are inspired by the legends surrounding Magdalene. Lavender Grace and the Honey Hive Ensemble will follow with festive singing and drumming in praise of Mary’s love, and Elizabeth Kirkpatrick-Vrenios and Marie-Claire Dizin will celebrate with vocal solo and piano. All are welcome to this free, donation-optional event. See mendopres.org for information.
