Miriam Davis is showing new work at Partners Gallery in Mendocino. On view are semi-abstract line drawings of her studio and kitchen; three dimensional drawings in wire; mixed media paintings; and porcelain sculptures of realistic figures engaged in activities from the everyday to the fantastical, such as a chair clinging to the departing sitter. Davis works in a variety of styles in clay, pen and ink, and found objects, exploring directions her imagination or the materials themselves suggest.
