Almost Fringe Festival
Almost Fringe Festival is taking over Point Arena on Saturday, April 20th. Almost Fringe is an art and cultural festival celebrating the fringe, weird, and wonderful of Mendocino county and beyond. Start your day at the lighthouse for the wind and whale celebration with Berkeley kite wranglers sailing their ocean creatures high above the bluff. Afterward, grab the shuttle downtown where every business has their own special offering to contribute to the day. Get a balloon animal at Franny’s bakery, see the interactive exhibit at Action Network, and stop for eats at the Good Food Club window, Gama, or Arena Co-Op. Enjoy the patio at New Museum Brewery and say hi to neighbors and new friends. On Main Street, we will be featuring a food court and a craft market full of local vendors showing off their wares. Think Visual, Coast Highway Collective and the cove will have live music sets to dance and groove. Throughout the day different dance performances, poetry activities and interactive exhibits will keep you in your toes and feeling inspired. When you’ve had your fill of downtown, you can hop back on the shuttle or take a long walk down to the cove and hear live music. Enter a ping-pong tournament at Point Arena Pizza or grab a hand pie from Cove Coffee. The event goes all day from 10 AM-7 PM, ending just in time to catch Cheech and Chong at Arena Theater. The whole town will be alight in delight to offer spring time fun to all of our visitors and locals, alike. Please join in and be a part of our wonderful Almost Fringe Festival.
