    Time: 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM PDT
    Event Description:
Join Master Gardener, Jill Surdzial and learn to rid your yard of pesky burrowing rodents. When holes and mounds and tunnels appear in the garden and plants disappear or wilt unexpectedly, only to be found to have lost their roots, who’s to blame and how to make them stop? This workshop will introduce you to the three common vertebrate pests that drive gardeners mad. You’ll learn how to identify damage from each of the three and methods for preventing and stopping damage. The class will begin with some instruction indoors and move into the garden for some hands-on trap placing and setting. This workshop will explore the lifecycle of gophers and moles, signs of activity, different types of traps, and proven methods of control. REGISTRATION Class size is limited! Registration for this workshop must be completed in advance online (click the appropriate registration link below) or at the MCBG gift shop. Please note, all workshop fees are non-refundable unless the workshop has been canceled or rescheduled by the Gardens.
