MENDOCINO OPEN PAINT OUT – A PLEIN AIR FESTIVAL
September 7–12
The Mendocino Art Center hosts the third Mendocino Open Paint Out, a plein air festival. The festival includes plein air painting, with wet paint sales each day in the Art Center's galleries, daily demonstrations and presentations, and the opportunity to watch celebrity artists paint outdoors. The festival will culminate on Saturday, September 12, with a Quick Draw competition and sale, followed by a celebratory reception and awards presentation. All events are free and open to the public, including watching the artists paint.
