The Artist Collective and Gallery in Elk welcomes new member Billy
Sprague with a featured show July 14th. We are honored to have this
multi-medium practicing artist here on the coast and the show promises a
wide array of 2 & 3 dimensional work. Sprague has had solo exhibitions in
Los Angeles, Chicago, Oakland and Berlin as well as participating in group
shows as far as the UK, Mexico and Japan. On display will be surreal
graphite & ink drawings, abstract collage and cosmic etching prints.
Influences range from fungi, plants, insects, natural psychedelics,
meditation, mountains, shamanism & alchemy to name just a few. Also on
display will be his beautiful leather work under his Obsidian Monarch
moniker adorning everything from bicycle saddles, flasks, feathers, knives
and more!
All are welcomed to view the work and welcome this new coastal artist at
the opening reception from 3-5pm Saturday July 14th at the Elk Gallery.
