    Event Description:
    Join us for our monthly First Friday reception and stay for an informative evening all about gray whales. Tanya Smart was born, raised and educated in California. She and her husband Dr. Brent Wright moved to Fort Bragg in 1999. She has spent the majority of her professional career in academic research and environmental education. Tanya is currently an adjunct professor for Mendocino College at the Fort Bragg Center where she teaches environmental science and marine mammal biology. Tanya’s community activities include serving as President of the Board, volunteer coordinator and Program Chair for the Point Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association, as a rescue volunteer with the Marine Mammal Center and singing with various community choirs.
