Sufi youth ages 18–29 gather together for their fifteenth retreat in the beauty of the redwoods to dance, sing, and pray together. Guest teachers Pir Shabda Kahn and Rebecca Welsh will help guide retreatants in practice, contemplation, and the wealth of Sufi lineage through the Dances of Universal Peace, zikr, conversation, and music. There will be time to explore the beauty of the forest! All youth are welcome. Our annual Mendocino Sufi Youth Retreat offers a unique opportunity for young adults to connect with fellow seekers in a phase of life full of transitions. Sufi youth (18–29) gather in the beauty of northern California’s redwoods to converse, sing, dance, and pray in community. This year, guest teachers Latif Burdick and Pegeen Ilene, together with our youth leaders, will help guide retreatants in through the wealth of our Sufi lineage, including breathwork, zikr, and the Dances of Universal Peace. This year's retreat — the 18th! — will be July 10–14. This year, Youth Retreat registration (below) is separate from that for Mendocino Sufi Camp, which is just after, and just down the road from, the Youth Retreat. We'd love to see you at both!
