Name: Mendocino Open Paint Out - A Plein Air FestivalDate: September 19, 2022 - September 25, 2022Event Description:The Mendocino Art Center hosts the Mendocino Open Paint Out, a plein air festival, September 19-25. Watch artists paint outdoors, shop daily “wet paint” sales in the Art Center’s galleries with new paintings created each day by more than 60 artists, and view demonstrations presented by the featured artists. On September 24, watch a Quick Draw Competition and vote for your favorite Quick Draw painting. Then stay for a celebratory reception and awards presentation, followed by an After Party, with live music by Mama Grows Funk, playing their potent mix of funk, soul, Latin and R&B tunes! Hob nob with the artists and view all the paintings created during the week. Food and drinks available for purchase. All activities are free and open to the public. Gallery hours vary.
