Mendocino Art Center’s Artists in Residence Exhibit, an eagerly anticipated annual showing, features a wide spectrum of new artwork – including ceramics, paintings, printmaking, jewelry and sculptural works in a variety of media – created by the artists during their residencies at the Mendocino Art Center. Also on exhibit will be Michael Wilson and Susan Spencer’s “The Beat Gallery – Art of Merz,” featuring assemblage works using reimagined pieces of rust and metal, wood and plastic, and paper and paint; and Russ Christoff’s photography showing, “From Maine to Mendocino,” accompanied by Wendell Rickon’s rustic, recycled and upcycled furniture. The Mendocino Art Center hosts a free Second Saturday Artists Reception, April 14, 5pm to 8pm. Enjoy snacks and wine, and meet the exhibiting artists.
