This is our last tour of 2019 - don't miss it! Join us on the last Saturday in September for a Lens Tour to the top of our historic 1909 Lighthouse! From 10am - 4pm on September 28, we'll be offering tours to the Lens Room of the Point Cabrillo Light Station. • 10am - 4pm • $5 per person • Must be 42" or taller These tours are only offered a few times a year, and are a treat to experience. You'll have excellent views and enticing stories of the lightkeepers that lived on the grounds as you climb the ladders to the top. Tours typically take about 45 minutes altogether, and a new group goes up every 10-15 minutes! You'll stop on each floor and learn fascinating facts from our excellent volunteer docents. Point Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association (PCLK) volunteer docents will highlight Light Station history and local culture with visitor presentations at the Lighthouse and other locations in the State Historic Park. Weather permitting, docents will also lead walks to nearby Frolic Cove and relate the story of the clipper brig Frolic, wrecked off the cove in July 1850 bound from China to San Francisco with a valuable cargo of Chinese merchandise for the Gold Rush miners and their families.
