The show, entitled “Transitions”, explores concepts of change and impermanence and will include sculptures made from wood, leaf skeletons and other material found in nature, as well as natural forms fabricated out of mixed media. Pieces include a large hollow maple wood round carved with organic shapes on both sides, three wall hangings, two of made from leaf skeletons and seeds, the other of dangling grape vines with soaring bird shapes whole feathers are fashioned from bamboo leaves, a tall spiral of pine needle ropes as well as two natural shapes fabricated out of mixed media and a flock of colorful hanging bird shapes collaged with maps/music.
