'Monarama' by local artist Richard Weiss

At Highlight Gallery we are pleased to host a show of fascinating re-interpretations of the famous Mona Lisa by Richard Weiss entitled 'Monarama'. His clever images show Mona in different situations and wardrobes and are definitely worth a look! Some of them are painted kinetic linocuts and others are watercolor or acrylic paintings. His colorful, sometimes humorous art will be on display from September 5th through October 30th, 2025. On September 13th, he will be in the gallery for a meet and greet from 4 to 7pm during Mendocino's Second Saturday Art Walk event. Come by and chat with him about his interesting riffs on Mona!
