DESCRIPTION:PARTNERS GALLERY"SiZe"Works by Gallery and Guest ArtistsApril 30 – June 1\, 2015First Friday Reception May 1\, 5-8pm In May\, Partners Gallery is having a show exploring size in art. “When I go to museums\, the paintings that involve me the most are the ones that are large enough to step into. I love being surrounded by a painting. Those early large field paintings of Pollack and Helen Frankenthaler\, Joan Mitchell and Richard Diebenkorn will hold me for hours\,” says gallery artist Rosemary Allen. There’s nothing quite like the experience of large art pieces: canvases whose space you feel could almost swallow you up\, or the impact of sculpture portraying humans or animals of bear-sized proportions. Then there is the small\, the miniscule\, more intimate works that make you have to focus in closely to examine something you are used to on a larger scale.  What if the piece is small\, but seems to represent something larger than its natural scale? Works in this show include a group of large and small works in a variety of media by gallery and guest artists. Partners Gallery is located at 335 N. Franklin Street in Fort Bragg and is open Wednesday through Monday 10 am to 5 pm and Sundays 10 am to 4 pm.707 962-0233  http://www.partnersgallery.com
