She has expanded her printmaking process and prowess with more colors\, layering\, and mark making. She says\, "I approach the surface with visions in my head seeking an escape valve. Marks are made while I let out a held breath\, transferring internal tension out of my head and onto the print." Kathy applies ink with the looseness and unpredictability of watercolor in these new prints. The swoops and swashes of her print images have an immediate and improvisational impact.
