DESCRIPTION:Saturday and Sunday\, March 7+8 from 10 AM ? 4 PM\n\nThese are our first tours of 2020\, benfitting the on-site education at\nPoint Cabrillo for grade school kids all over Mendocino County\, and\nbeyond!\n\nJoin us on the first weekend in March for two days of Lens Tours to the\ntop of our historic 1909 Lighthouse! From 10am - 4pm on March 7 and March\n8\, we'll be offering tours to the Lens Room of the Point Cabrillo Light\nStation.\n\n ? 10am - 4pm\n ? $5 per person\n ? Must be 42" or taller\n\nThese tours are only offered a few times a year\, and are a treat to\nexperience. You'll have excellent views and enticing stories of the\nlightkeepers that lived on the grounds as you climb the ladders to the\ntop.\n\nTours typically take about 45 minutes altogether\, and a new group goes up\nevery 10-15 minutes! You'll stop on each floor and learn fascinating facts\nfrom our excellent volunteer docents.\n\nPoint Cabrillo Lightkeepers Association (PCLK) volunteer docents will\nhighlight Light Station history and local culture with visitor\npresentations at the Lighthouse and other locations in the State Historic\nPark. Weather permitting\, docents will also lead walks to nearby Frolic\nCove and relate the story of the clipper brig Frolic\, wrecked off the cove\nin July 1850 bound from China to San Francisco with a valuable cargo of\nChinese merchandise for the Gold Rush miners and their families.\n\nLearn more: http://pointcabrillo.org/visit/events/
