DESCRIPTION:Weekly guidedÂ bird walks are scheduled for each Saturday\,\nOctober 31 through December 19 at MacKerricher State Park. Meet the park\nnaturalist at the Lake Cleone parking lot. This program is designed for\nbeginning bird watchers. Have fun in the outdoors and learn to identify some of\nthe local birds. Watch for migrating ducks on our small lake. Walk to the beach\nto search for shorebirds. We will also stroll through open grassy areas and\ninto the forest. Programs will be 1 to 2 hours long. Binoculars are available\nfor loan. These programs are free to the public.\n\nÂ \n\nThe Lake Cloene parking lot at MacKerricher State Park is\nlocated north of Fort Bragg\, California. Drive three miles north on Hwy 1 from\nFort Bragg. Turn left (west) on Mill Creek Drive. Follow the road into the park\nto the first parking lot on the left. Fall weather can be cool and wet along\nthe north coast. It is best to wear layers and be prepared for rain.
