'Death of a Muse' tells Garner's artistic story at Edgewater Gallery
Not every artist lives with his muse, but for several years in the 90's, Elk artist and Edgewater Gallery member Stephen Garner lived and shared an artistic lifestyle with Airika Lindsay, who has recently passed away. His September show at Edgewater will reflect on an intense time and the work that came out of that relationship. Show opening will be First Friday, September 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the gallery, 356 N. Main St. near the Laurel Street intersection. Light refreshments will be served.
Dan Kozloff's Saturday Actors' Workshop Returns!
The Mendocino Theatre Company is proud to announce the return of the Saturday Actors' Workshop (SAW), a weekly training session for beginning or experienced actors.
This workshop is a tremendous opportunity for those who may be curious about acting, but aren't sure they're ready for the commitment of auditioning for a play. The class will also feature more challenging work for experienced actors who would like to deepen and expand their skills.
From September 6th through November 8th, workshops will take place every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mendocino Theatre Company rehearsal room in the Community Center of Mendocino on School St. next to the baseball field. The workshops will be a flexible drop-in format; no reservations or pre-payment necessary. The cost of each workshop will be $10.00 per each Saturday session.
